Privacy Policy
Purposes for which personal information is collected :
Information collected includes the member’s name, title and e-mail address; the company/organization name, mailing address, telephone and fax numbers and website URL.
This information is distributed in the RGA Members Directory.
*All other information collected is optional and for statistical use only.
In the 12,000 paper copies of the Directory distributed to the business community every year and the online edition of the Directory available at : www.rga.ca
Member’s consent:
Members supply the information when filling out the membership form and can decide what information they wish to see appear in the Directory. They can modify all information provided at any time.
Restrictions governing the collection, use and distribution of personal information :
The RGA promises not to release the list of its members to any organization requesting it, but offers internal distribution services to its members by post, fax and e-mail.
Schedule governing retention and destruction of records :
The RGA keeps members’ records in securely locked filing cabinets for a period of two years, at the end of which time the documents are confidentially destroyed.
Procedure governing requests for the release of personal information :
RGA employees only release information that members have provided for distribution in the Members Directory.
Online purchases and/or payments:
Every person making an online purchase and/or payment on the RGA website will receive an e mail confirming the transaction.
The RGA will issue reimbursements only in the case of cancellations received in writing, at least 72 hours before the event in question.
Requests for information and complaints:
A member can request that his/her details be verified, modified or removed from the organization's list of members.
A member can also file a complaint against RGA if he/she believes RGA is acting in breach of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. Requests for information and complaints must be sent in writing to the following address:
