Mike Haley, Regional Vice President Eastern Ontario, where he is responsible for the overall management of RBC Royal Bank’s personal, financial planning and small business banking operations in that region.
Prior to this appointment, he was district manager, sales for RBC Royal Bank in Atlantic Canada where he was responsible for the overall development and implementation of RBC’s personal and small business markets sales strategy for the Atlantic Provinces.
Mr. Haley joined RBC in 1984 and since then has held positions of increasing responsibility in various divisions including Personal Banking, Agriculture, Small Business & Commercial Markets. He has worked in Alberta, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and now, Ontario.
Mr. Haley assumed his current position in November 2005.
Born in Port-Menier, Quebec, he earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, the Institute’s highest distinction.
Mr. Haley has served organizations dedicated to the development of small business, including the Executive Committee of Junior Achievers in Quebec and the Canadian Franchising Association. He was director and founding member of Canada Business Youth Foundation’s Montreal Chapter and a sponsor-member of the Young President’s Club of Montreal. He has also served at the executive level of Neptune Theatre of Halifax and the Muscular Sclerosis Society, Atlantic division. He is currently on the board of Regroupement des Gens d’Affaires de la Capitale Nationale.
Mr. Haley and his wife Carole reside in Embrun and have three children.
