Louis Campeau has over 30 years of practical hands-on experience in management and start-ups in small, medium and large organizations at both national and international levels.
In 2007, he comes back to the wood industry as he buys a controlling interest in a wood flooring plant in western Quebec.
In 2004, he joined Stratmark Integra Inc., as a Senior Partner, a firm specialized in applied strategic management with the goal of accompanying organizations facing positioning challenges, strategic growth, restructuring, succession planning or merger-acquisition situation/environment.
Prior to joining Stratmark Integra, Louis held the position of Senior Vice-President at Tembec responsible for 10 plants worldwide (Canada, USA, France and Chile).
In 1993, Louis took over the assets of a company which was in bankruptcy. As President and General Manager, and with a team recruited from scratch, the company increased its sales from 10 million dollars to 90 million dollars by 2001, when Tembec acquired Davidson Industries Inc.
In 1991, he founded a consulting firm specialized in environment issues and managed by his associate. The firm was sold in 2006 after 15 years of continued profitability.
As part of his background, Louis also founded a French subsidiary of the GeorgeWeston Group. As a Paris based company specialized in automated storage systems it took him throughout Europe and the Middle East.
He is known for his quality as a developer, a teacher and a team builder. He excels in situations where he can put forth his ability to synthesize issues and adapt appropriate solutions for both shareholders and management.
He is recognized for his entrepreneurship and decision making abilities. These qualities allowed him to generate numerous mandates and create a comfort zone with his clients whereby he is invited to sit on the Board of Directors or to act as a senior advisor for members of the management team.
Mr. Campeau is a graduate of Laval University with an engineering degree and holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
